The below is the standard corporate line to ram WalMart down our throats. No matter that 80% of their goods comes from China. No matter that Walmart pressures US companies to sell so cheap they have to move their jobs from here to China or go broke. No matter that union grocery jobs pay $19.50 and hour and WalMart jobs 7.50-8.50 with lousy benefits and no union. No matter that WalMart gives most of its campaign money to Republicans and Bush - who proceed to stick it to the poor. No matter that Walamrt backs a foundation aimed at ending public education in America. No matter that WalMart is in the lead in a global race to the bottom for 99% of the people on the globe.
No, what the Walmart people do is say, Hey, you pointy-headed narrow-minded selfish arrogant liberals, poor people can buy CHEAP TOILET PAPER at WalMart - and who the hell are you to say they can't!??????? So we liberals and progressives are supposed to bless the most subversive corporation that ever existed. Buying at Walmart is trading with the enemy. What's really happening is the WalMart is the lead pawn in the campaign of the rich to take over the whole world lock stock and barrel. And from what I've seen of "conservatives", that's _exactly_ what they want.
