Quick summary:
1) Elizabeth announced the fact that her and Ken Friberg's video has reached the finals of the "Media that Matters" contest. This sounds like a substantial achievement, regardless of what one thinks about the ideas in the film. I'd like to congratulate them.
2) Dennis has pointed out the virtues of a free market and Walmart's right to live or die by those virtues.
3) Mike, Renee, Dave, and Elizabeth have repeated the arguments against Walmart - that we've heard in this forum before.
This forum is a great place to share information and ideas.
BUT, its not a place where anyone is likely to change the mind of someone else who has already taken a hard position on a topic like Wal-Mart.
Does anyone have anything NEW to post on this topic?
Is there some particularly relevant (and current) St. Paul angle to the discussion?
A general discussion about Walmart vs. corporate responsibility is more appropriate for the MN-National Issues Forum.
