I wonder about the need to discredit the work of respected political leaders in 
this community who have contributed many years of political service, because 
one disagrees with them on a particular decision. 

The fact that former Mayor Latimer may or may not have made a mistake in 
endorsing Chris Coleman, does not make him a “nobody.”

His work and his record stand for themselves. I understand the rights of 
individuals to challenge his endorsement of Coleman and discuss it. I don't 
understand why they need to challenge or discredit his entire career. 

Besides, its not very effective because it draws attention away from the actual 
candidates themselves.
