Did folks catch the Ppress editorial today chiding Thune for being concerned about serving booze (not just beer and wine) in the parks? There attitude was drinking was a personal responsibility and if they get out of hand they should arrest them. Not even the smallest thought about the impact on the adjacent neighborhood. Who cares? What always strikes me is that it is reasonably clear that the editorial staff rarely, if ever reads the paper. If they did, they would know that the courts have recently held Giant's football stadium responsible for the drunken activities of people served at a game. That will mean that the City will be held responsible for drunks leaving Harriet Island. Wouldn't a reasonable person want to think about expanding liquor service after this resent court ruling? What a bunch of boobs.
