For the record: our ethics policy effectively prohibits newsroom employees
from making any political contributions or making any public endorsements,
even so much as a lawnsign, outside of the editorial staff writing for our
own pages. I'd challenge anyone to find any newsroom or editorial staffer on
the contribution lists -- particularly since they are not, by law, required
to be identified by employer.

But since I have a copy of the contributor lists and a staff directory here,
I'll do a quick check.

There. Done.

Looks a lot like zero to me.

Not even Par Ridder, although there IS a Cowles on the Kelly list.

Which is not to say, by the way, that our employment prohibits us from pacts
with the devil or selling our souls to realize the capital gains on our
misbeggoten mortality. But Satan is not required to report those
transactions in St. Paul, since eternal damnation is not, technically, the
jurisdiction of Ramsey County.

I hereby cede my second post of the day to Mr. Shove, since it appears he's
now one in the hole.
