I just wanted to chime in to support and encourage people to go to this fantastic Community Forum this Thursday evening, February 3, 7-9 pm at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center at 270 Kent St. N in St. Paul. I was invited as a citywide elected official, and though I unfortunately have a prior commitment, I'm grateful that other School Bd members and reps at the city, county, state, and national levele will be there -- that's great! Kudos to the organizers from community-based organizations in Ward 1, and I hope that a fantastic turnout Thursday evening will spur many more of these great opportunities for people to connect directly with electeds in a comfortable, neighborhood setting.
