the developer question is huge as anyway who has watched as just a couple of guys (white guys) have carved up and now own huge chunks of dowtown and inner ring neighborhoods-sherm is one of the these guys, george sherman is another. theres a whole lot of coffee chats in the morning in ped's alcoves and/or lunches where deals get made and the rfp (if one is used) gets outlined with certain in the loop folks before anything goes out, ostensibly, to gather public participation. it is a huge, huge problem in the city that has been left unaddressed for far too long. that is all to say that i don't know the specifics on this deal except good old sherm (who's influence mythology includes his own coffee cup in ped) got yet another chuck of extremely valuable land, this time for sonny boy. wow!!!!
