Yeh, right,  the Port Authority says, "say, let's
clean up this piece of land. Maybe we can sell it to
somebody, someday." C'mon Chuck, you can do better
than that.

The elephant in the room is the question of whether
anything was promised in return for help with the
funeral home. Did someone represent that he could
deliver a block of votes? We'll never know of course
but one isn't encouraged when we see in writing that
the Mayor's supposed point man on the funeral home
development warned him not to talk about having agreed
to commit $500,000 in city money to the project
because of the potential "political fallout."
