I'm not sure who I'm agreeing with or criticizing ...
I also felt uneasy with Bill Finney's comments. The issue for me, making me uneasy, was that, agreeing or not agreeing with them, Finney's comments were so evidently laden with political spin that perhaps he should have identified himself as associated with a political campaign for an opponent of Mayor Kelly. Perhaps this is were the concept of 'hiding' came from, the lack of that identification along with the evident spin rhetoric.
Other than that I think there may be some legitimate rationale for what Mayor Kelly did and how he handled it. (And perhaps that led me to view the comments as more spin than substance. I started off with a disagreeing view). I'm not sure yet.
Further more, the internal memos from staff don't conflict with the decision Mayor Kelly made about cooperating with other authorities or timing of release of information. They do continue to bring up concerns however about how this all worked and I hope there is some accounting for it at the end, and not just political smoke screens.
