Chuck, were we at the same Monroe School? There were eight at my precinct
fighting to
fill the 28 seats at the Ward convention, neither Latimer nor Mariani even
bothered to
stop by, and this sort of got one person going on how once at DFL headquarters,
sheâd
once actually laid eyes on a Mariani lawn sign. Another wryly asked if it was
preserved
in one of those cryogenically sealed cases with hydrogen gas pumped in to
preserve its
rare state.

Other topics were the resurgence of a Meth Lab at 915 Tuscarora (the very same
one that
generated the âEth v. Methâ post of about 5 years ago), underground water
flows near the
river, whether to weigh in on Ayd Mill Road, and the wonders of those âAunt
Beaâ
wisteria offered in the St. Paul spring tree sale brochure (ok, that was me but
I got blooms
the third year!). There was also a discussion of the sense of the neighbors
that while
Chris Coleman always knew GSE was a problem, Raphael Ortega never quite
âgotâ that
the busway would have been a very destructive thing in our part of the City.
Support was
generally stronger for Coleman than Ortega, but one person wished we had more
to
choose from.

I have two names I need to pass on of people who want to join the SPIF, too,
but every
email I try to write to Tim E bounces back to me. Iâm trying not to take it
personally.
