The Mayor has apparently been telling people that unless the dike (which
appears to be
about as popular as an ethanol plant) is included in the bonding bill, the
Mayor is going to
insist that the Governor veto the following St. Paul projects: $20 million for
biotech
investments , $10 million for the Ordway; $5-6 million for completion of the
Phalen
Boulevard; $300K for Como Park improvements.

Chief Finneyâs comments a few weeks ago about the Mayorâs priorities are
beginning to
come back to me.

And if heâs willing to injure the City this much for a $2 million project, I
shudder to think
what heâll do to us in the next four years in furtherance of his stated goal
to re-build Ayd
Mill Road. The reasons for the âBoulevard Posseâ might just become more
clear.

Definitely keeping her boulevard clean in the West End
