I have to admit to not being very good at that kind of follow-through, and I appreciate that you are. I was there, too, and in addition to being pretty piqued about our neighborhood being shafted out of our opportunity to grill the mayor on his Quixotic campaign for the dike, I had a bunch of other questions about the city and its direction. Unfortunately, I got there late and clammed up. I have a lot of concerns, but I got the feeling that this event was more of a campaign stump than anything that will bring about any real results.
Now, if these types of events are held AFTER the election, I will feel much more inclined to speak with a louder voice, and be engaged in a more active dialogue.
