Applause to Jeanne Schnitzen and Dann Dobson, who asked the most courageous questions of the evening at the Streetbeat. Though the mayor operates on a regimen of intimidation and outright flip-flopping (like the way he criticized current Resident Bush' housing policies after having endorsed him in the last election), when people call him on the carpet he clearly gets uncomfortable. Speaking truth to power is beautiful, folks. It works wonders.

Much as I tried to formulate one coherent question last night, my list of issues on which I wanted to confront the mayor grew to half a page long and I couldn't decide which one was most important in only an hour. Since several other people courageously spoke, I spent more time taking notes and gathering together the inconsistencies and spin-doctoring in Kelly's responses.

Persona non grata with the mayor and others, but still unafraid

P.S. 'Hope to see some of you at Mai Village for lunch tomorrow. And don't forget to check out the discount coupons (valid 3/31 to 5/31) that Jeanne Weigum worked hard to put together at www.ansrmn.org
