Would it have been better if the St. Paul legislative
delegation had called the bluff of Pawlenty and Kelly
and eliminated the floodwall funding? Would they
really have wanted to be in a position of vetoing all
of the St. Paul projects for the sake of doing this
favor for the users of the downtown airport?
Obviously, I don't know the answer to this question
but I do think that principle is important. Standing
up to the bullying tactics of Kelly and the Governor
might have been more important than those other
projects.
