why would you have to carry the dog food 8 blocks to your car?  the store will
have a ramp right there that you can bring the cart right to your car.

When i worked downtown mpls i liked having target down there.  I have heard the
building is now TIF and many, many people don't like that.  I still go down
there even though i don't work down there anymore.  they have parking for
target shoppers only that has been always available.  they do this by making
long term stays outrageously expensive.  You get 1 hour comp'd during the week
and 2 hours on the weekend if you spend $20 or $25 bucks at the store.  for
DTSTP, it would solve the problem of there being now downtown grocery store as
targets carry many food staples and some other items.  sounds like a good idea
but be wary of the inevitable building subsidy.
