Can someone answer this question?
With a flood wall around Holman Field, the airport will keep dry.
However, in order to continue to use the facility you need to access
to the airport. Does this mean that as part of this development
someone is going to raise the level of the access roads to the
airport to the height of the flood wall? If so, wouldn't this
actually mean, in essence, a larger flood wall? If you can't get to
the airport due to flooding, it doesn't make any difference how dry
it is.

I will make an educated guess using logic but not experience that
it isn't only
mapquests extimated drive time that would be saved by landing
corporate jets at
holman field. Only a certain number of planes can land in a given
time frame
at MSP. If corporate jets are booted from holman field and forced
to land at
MSP that will require more planes to circle in holding patterns
waiting for
runways to clear. this is why holman is considered a reliever
airport, at
least i think that is why. Because it can relieve congestion at
MSP by
handling corporate traffic and some cargo traffic.
Maybe someone with more aviation in their background would like to
answer this?
