Activist judges?
Dennis, do we have to go over the Constitutionally
granted powers again?
Do I have to explain to you that the same framers who
thought the legislative should be elected (well only
half- the US Senators was choosen by the state
legislatures for most of our history), and the
executive (choosen by proxy- we vote for the
President, electoral college cast the actually ballot
and we get a Pres., VP, and about 300 appointees that
make decisions over us), decided that the Federal
Judicial should be removed from the fickle changing
opinion of the public, and be focused on the
Constitution?
So, for most our history, only the House of
Representatives were/are elected directly by the
people. The Senate, entire Executive branch and
Federal Judges were/are not directly elected by the
people.
That's our system of government. Cuba's is different,
as is China. You may want to check in there for a
while and see how your proposed form would work.
This 'activist judiciary' decided that Bush should be
President, over the Florida courts. I didn't hear you
guys back then screaming about activist judges.
None of this is St Paul specific. So, I'll stop
feeding the troll now.
