Geez, give me a break...

After fifteen years of non-stop bashing of Democrats openly, and at every opportunity, they expect Democrats not to state the plain truth about Republicans?

All these pledges do is perpetuate the hypocritical statement "Do as I say, and not as I do."

At this point, it isn't about name-calling against the GOP. We are merely going to state the facts about the hateful clique called the Republican Party. Name-calling implies that there is no substance to such things, and thus is inappropriate. Republicans are the most selfish and hateful people on Earth, plain and simple, and have handed us miles and miles of rope to hang them with, and we intend to use every millimeter of that rope. The Republicans wrote the rules, let's play by their rules. The kids wanna see blood, and are tired of whimps who won't fight the radical republicans, and I consider Kelly a Republican.

Kelly has announced that he won't participate in our convention because he probably will be appearing at theirs, just like that certified whackjob Zell Miller did.

Our side played this game in the previous election. Patty Wetterling refused to fight, and she lost against the most horrendous false accusations. She refused to even publically state that Kennedy was a whackjob radical nutcase, and that cost her, and now the people of the sixth congressional distracit have to put up with a radical extremist whackjob representing them for another two years.

Republicans have proven for more than a decade that they can't live up to any "fair campaign pledges", and thus I say why should we bother with them? Treat the sleazy Republicans like they treat everyone else - with complete and utter contempt. What comes around can, should, and will go around.

I believe the Golden Rule has two sides to it. Republicans should learn why it exists, as obviously they want to be treated like s**t.

After better than a decade of Republicans treating Democrats like s**t, turnabout is FAIR PLAY, and we owe them payback.

MAYOR KELLY, YOUR ASSOCIATIONS ARE THE ISSUE THIS ELECTION! We will treat you just like your buddies in the Republican Party treat us. They already had it coming, and you chose to share in their rewards.

It looks as if Mayor Kelly's "Fair Campaign Pledge" is the same as one being used by a League of Women Voters project in the Rochester area of New York. Who knows where they got it.

I did a little research, because I was curious about the language that Jane Prince pointed out yesterday. In saying that, the language did not seem unreasonable to me - but, I wondered.

I found quite a few variations of "Fair Campaign Pledges" on the internet. This was the only one that had a "prejudice based upon political affiliation" clause in it. I've included some of the other "prejudice clauses" that I found.

This is the same pledge that Mayor Kelly is distributing.
