I don't have an opinion about the road one way or the other. I think the neighborhoods should decide what they want and work with the city. I believe Ayd Mill _will_ be connected to 94. I'm afraid that neighbors will lose whatever say they now have if they disengage from the discussion out of anger at the mayor.

That said, I _do_ strongly believe in putting a streetcar line
down Ayd Mill.  It would connect very nicely with the proposed
Midtown Greenway streetcar and a streetcar on Grand Ave.  It
would preserve the parkway feel of the road and integrate
nicely with greenspace in the corridor.  I'll be much more
likely to visit and shop in St. Paul if it's easy for me to
get there.
