With all due respect to Dennis, I think its really naive to think that Randy's attacks on Chris Coleman in his now infamous letter were somehow "tipping his hand" to the attacks he would wage in the general election. Lets not kid ourselves -- the folks who care about who "abides by the endorsement" are the ones already involved in the process -- that would not be a line of attack against ANYONE in the general election.

If Randy didn't fear Chris as an opponent, he wouldnt be trying his best and spending thousands of his camapign money to try to influence DFL delegates against him. He would simply wait until after the endorsement -- or instead try to tear down Rafael to ensure Chris became the endorsed candidate.

If I were Randy, I would be afraid of Chris' campaign, too. With Chief Finney, Jeff Blodgett, Mayor Latimer, a wildly successful fundraising operation, some of the best grassroots organizers our state has to offer, and the ability to engage state and national leaders in this race -- I'd be scared as hell of Chris as an opponent, too.

Randy is not trying to influence delegates against Chris as a public service --it is self-service for his own election. Read what you will into that and Randy's opinion of the strength of Rafael's candidacy.

I will also spare you my own opinion of Rafael's candidacy because I'd rather tell you why I'm FOR Chris than against Rafael -- and I agree with Bob, I really hope everyone else will do the same.
