Not at all.  I actually think that it benefits the forum to have the
press pick up items like this.  What I intended to get across is
that many times we, as posters, seem to forget that our words are
read by more than the limited number of people who normally post.
 
Sometimes we allow our emotion get the better of us.  I know I've
done that myself.  I certainly wouldn't want to have one of my
emotionally driven comments be quoted in the paper.
 
On the other hand, it raises another opportunity for activists to
get out information to a broader audience.  If posted here, maybe,
just maybe, a journalist will pick it up for a slow news day story.
 
Think about Tim's question regarding the Parks and Rec Soccer
program.  Maybe a lurker who writes for the Pioneer Press would take
some time to find out some of the issues the city has with operating
these kinds of programs.
