And one of those changes IMHO is the need to get rid of the extreme  
partisanship taking place in our government recently. If Obama is  
going to be a successful president and accomplish the goals he has set  
for himself and his administration he is going to have to include  
Republicans in the effort in some manner.

I wasn't suggesting it as a realistic possibility in any case, more of  
a what if scenario. Even so, didn't Lincoln do that after the Civil  
War for the same reason - to make government more inclusive and to  
help heal the wounds of a severely divided country?
