Francis, et al., What happened to the rules of civil discussion you posted a while back? I thought we were all going to try harder to abide by those principles, especially you since you are the one who proposed them in the first place. While you might not have liked what Michael wrote (which I snipped) at least it was not a personal attack on you. The name calling on this list, by people on both sides, sickens me. I'd really enjoy the discussions here more if we could all try harder to follow those principles and keep things from becoming personal. I have a good friend who is very religious and pretty conservative. We discuss politics and religion all the time. In the more than 5 years I've known him our discussion has become heated only once and that was just three weeks ago while talking about Obama and while I was helping him move. I tried to end the discussion by walking away and he kept running around in front of me to block the way and continue making his point. When things were all done and over with I walked up to him and said "We're still friends" and we shook hands and it was all over. I'm not relating this to make myself look good or hold myself above anybody else on the list but rather to provide an example of how I'd prefer to see things to go in our more heated debates.
