The night-shot mode of my camera let me get a decent shot of the recent conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the Moon the other night.
<http://dbdev2.pharmacy.arizona.edu/miscjunk/venusjupitermoon.jpg> This was three days ago, the closest conjunction was the day after that but the planets were lower in the sky than the moon. I've got some other shots at shorter exposure times, I may try compositing them so I've got the fading twilight and local shadows and something other than a diffuse glowing blob as the moon :-) Also on the card when I downloaded it was this picture I forgot I took, of some of the fauna that ravaged my parsley patch this year: <http://dbdev2.pharmacy.arizona.edu/miscjunk/parsleymunchers.jpg> 'Lil fuckers used chemical warfare on me when I dealt with 'em...they spray you with some intense sweet/orangish-smelling chemical that's hard to wash off when you mess with 'em. I have no doubt that if I were a bird or animal trying to eat 'em, a faceful of that stuff would be quite unpleasant. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
