rant - I am involved with a neighborhood group that puts on a couple local arts and crafts sales a year. They have a mailing list (mailman) Every year in the runup to the events, there is some confusion about what where when, etc and people write to the list instead of the organizers for info. I think the list would be a great source of some info, like, where to park, eat, get supplies, etc So, in the last month there have been about 4-5 messages sent that probably should not have been sent to the list and some people are FURIOUS. I probably get more than 5 porn spams an hour on one email account I have. This one lady, in particular, is really getting on my nerves. She has been replying to all the posters individually telling them that she does not know the answers to their questions and cannot help them. :-) She bitched at me to "fix the problem". Heck, I'm not even an administrator. I can only imagine what these people do with their regular postal mail. heck, I had 8 catalogs and 2 charity requests jammed into my mailbox yesterday. they all went straight to the trash. Do these people read them all cover to cover ? One girl admitted she had forgotten the mail was coming from a list. sigh rant ended
