Also, and this could be an artifact of the resizing down to web size, but there's an odd lack of depth of field to the pictures. Something with that sharp a focus on the blades of grass in the foreground, feels like it should be much softer in the far background. I don't know if it's from overly aggressive sharpening, overly aggressive HDRI adjustments or it is in fact a composite, but there seems to be sharp lines of demarcation between the rocks and vegetation in the foreground and the middle plants and mountain, and again between the mountain and the sky, as if the rocks are the set, the middle vegetation and mountain is the flat at the back of the stage and the sky is a matte painting FX'ed in. This is the first thing I really noticed on it yesterday; that it almost seems like a Photoshop job, and the lower photo shows it a little bit more. (well it IS a Pshop job, but I mean it in the "Put richard-san's head in place of George Washington on Mt Rushmore" sense of Photoshop job.) It's kind of in the 'uncanny valley' is what I'm trying to say. Now if this was what your were going for, you nailed it. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
