That's BS, Mark. You're using nut job fringe elements to incorrectly define a 
movement you don't understand.

Finding an article where some slimeball claims he has Tea Party support doesn't 
mean that he has the support of the vast majority of Tea Partiers.

They aren't racist, although they may be opposed to affirmative action 
programs. You would be wrong to equate such opposition to racism.

As for religion and government, they understand the critical role that 
religious leaders played in the founding of our country as well as the 
religious convictions of the framers. They also understand that "freedom of 
religion" does mean "freedom from religion." Rather, it means that the 
_federal_ government could not establish a religion. (The states were free to 
do so, and many did.)

What do they support? There's only one common theme I can see, and that is 
smaller, less imposing federal government and lower taxes. Not smaller 
government. Not lower taxes. Smaller government AND lower taxes.
