I'm finally getting around to using more than rudiments of javascript and wouldn't you know it, I've managed to find something stupidly weird right off the bat.
My eventual goal is to find specific elements on the page (in this case SELECT) and do stuff to only certain ones. So I came up with the following simple test page: I'd put three selects, named picker, picker2 and knicker, then used getElementsByTagName() to identify the SELECT tags. (after a short interlude of screaming at IE for being different*) Then I used a RegExp object set to look for 'pick' and tested it against each objects name. Now, depending on how I search the element tags I get different answers! See <http://dbdev2.pharmacy.arizona.edu/jsscratchpad> for all the gory details...
