-- The selector language alone makes JQuery an indispensable tool. There's nothing in it you wouldn't have written yourself for an include, if you were a genius with too much time on your hands. I've prepped a little page for ya: http://2010.stratacafe.com/testbed/bruce_select.asp I don't quite grok what you're trying to do, but you could easily use those selectors in an eval statement. I tend to ID everything now, just for this purpose. If you don't want to add an ID, you can use: $('select[name='myname'] option:selected).val() It's impossible to stress just what a thing of beauty JQuery is. I recommend JQuery In Action, if you're looking to do more reading. It is completely documented online, though, if you're looking to just work through it by trial and error: http://docs.jquery.com/Main_Page When you get to the sections on AJAX, make sure you're wearing a hat or something to catch your brain. It handily condenses pages of AJAX code into discreet functions and saved me from reading the 2 thick books I had purchased on asynchronous Javascript =) -- Michael -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
