You do realize that the founders lived in the 18th century don't you? But if
you want to get into the shameful history of Democrats regarding slavery,
Reconstruction and Jim Crow laws we can start a new topic.

This country was founded on religious principles that protected individual
liberty and private property. According to Alec de Toqueville:

"Religion in America takes no direct part in the government of society, but it
must be regarded as the first of the political institutions...I do not know
whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion – for who can
search the human heart? – but I am certain that they hold it to be
indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions. This opinion is
not peculiar to a class of citizens or to a party, but it belongs to the whole
nation and to every rank of society." (Emphasis added.)

I could go on with more examples from Adams, Madison, Washington, Jefferson and
Franklin, but I don't believe such facts would have any effect on you.

I think your irrational hatred of the Republican Party has morphed into a
hatred of our republican form of government.
