Refresh your knowledge of history, richardsan. It's obviously been
polluted by your hatred of religion.
From the Northwest Ordinance of 1787, Article 3:
"Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government
and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall
forever be encouraged."
That was written by the Congress of the Confederation of the United
States. You know, the same folks that wrote or ratified our US
Constitution.
There are numerous examples of the importance of religion held by the
founders and framers of our US Constitution. The fact that you find
that fact repulsive or let your hatred of the republican form of
government sway your perception of history doesn't those facts are myth.
