Michele Bachman on extending the tax cuts on single wage earners earning $250K or more: "STEPHANOPOULOS: But why is it OK for the wealthiest Americans earning over $250,000 a year — remember the President has called for extending all tax cuts for those under $250,000 — for them to get tax cuts extended but for people out of a job and needing unemployment benefits not to have their benefits extended? BACHMANN: Well remember again what this is. It’s a massive tax increase and its on the people who are job creators. And people want to think that these are millionaires sitting in leather chairs lighting their cigars with $100 bills, that’s not what we’re talking about. These are people who are carpet layers who may be employed two or three other guys, or a plumber, maybe himself and his brother, and it’s $250,000 in gross sales for their business. " Someone this innumerate shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a position of power. Even I, a radical communist socialist islamo gubmint employee leech knows the difference between gross and net income.... And no, it's STILL not a 'massive tax increase' it's an increase of 3%...rolling back to the levels it was four years ago, when Bush instituted tax cuts to pay for his wars. Honestly, I don't understand why all these deficit hawks and fiscal conservatives are for any tax cuts at all...if we're supposed to sacrifice to reduce the national debt for our children's sake, we should ALL be paying MORE taxes right now, not less. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
