I'll see what i can find, but any meat at local farmers markets has, in my
experience, been 'lovingly hand raised by statuesque peruvian virgins, bathed
in VSOP sake daily boutique microbrew free range super-organic 99.999% purity
beef'; they provide mortgage forms and carat scales at the counter for purchase

Sadly, that pretty well describes everything at the local "farmer's markets".

Real farmers have stands at the swap meet, but lacking refrigeration
facilities, no one sells meat; produce only.

There are a couple local producers, but the restaurant trade pretty well snaps
everything up.

A carneceria opened up down the street a while back, might be worth checking
out for this, and there's a couple reputable butcher shops in town.

Heck, I might even know where I could get some Ostrich femurs...
