So unlawful detention and torture is A-OK...they're just dirty fucking hippies, after all. And people DO know how to protest anymore....1-200,000 were in the streets protesting against the Iraq war, and it was so bad that the 2004 Dem and Republican conventions resorted to free speech cages, illegal searches and arrests, and general beat-downs of protestors. The REASON they don't get coverage in the media is because they are protesting, largely, against the owners of the media. When the press, the wall street execs and the politicians are all in bed together you end up with what we've got. Right-wing protests like Teabagger parties get lavish media attention, Faux News because the Tea Parties are largely a creation of Faux News and everyone else because they're afraid of losing ratings to Faux News.
