I like it, and if I'm specifically on a trip where I'll take photos, its really easy to carry (so long as you don't bust that fragile, fragile LCD screen), The lumix was for sticking in my pocket when I go shopping or in my fanny pack when I'm just out and about on the bike, something I really like my old one for. > > ...Woot had a deal on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 with a Leica lens, > > have you posted pix shot with it? Not yet, I've been really busy and unable to go on a photo expedition. It's supposed to have a reasonably nice burst mode, so I may have some puppy action shots this weekend. It does do sweet, sweet closeups: minimum distance is about an inch. <http://dbdev2.pharmacy.arizona.edu/miscjunk/new_camera.jpg> That's in the office, handheld... I got a couple complaints...stupid thing won't let me have the composing grid and battery info/photo count on the screen at the same time, unlike my older Lumix, and the touch screen is annoying for controlling things. Haven't looked, though, to see if they have updated any firmware or anything. It does look like it takes the same oddball USB connector my Nikon does. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
