I'm being mildly boring again this years, standard Alton Brown Great American Traditional Zionislamofascist turkey roast free range Sunflower Markets turkey , gravy mashed taters, dressing, cranberries, green beans, some brussels sprouts for Alison if I can find them (Sunflower was out yesterday) and my one experimental dish this year: some sort of a wild/wehani rice with smoked italian sausage pilaf-ey kind of thing. May or may not work, haven't really firmed up the recipe yet.
I've got the giblets browned/deglazed/simmering with broth and some aromatics to make the base of the gravy right now, and it smells fab. Costco has a reasonably good 2009 Bordeaux that I had an open bottle of, some of that in the giblets is making us all insane with the aroma.
