we could be doing this too; would already have done it had our congress not been so deeply funded by coal and oil. :(
My dad's proposal to make all FLA school roofs into solar energy generators back in 1972 was so vigorously denigrated by the state lege that he gave up his solar energy business, even though he'd just designed a collector that could be built by anyone using common materials, and not only heat water up to the boiling point but also store it. I went to an energy committee meeting in 1978, hoping to get some support to bring him back into the fray, and was told that he could not have done what his documentation showed. No discussion, just denial. http://inhabitat.com/germany-sets-new-solar-record-by-meeting-nearly-half-of-countrys-weekend-power-demand/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
