It may move towards followers of trusted reporters. For example, Michael Totten was way ahead of most broadcast news outlets with his stories on the Iraq War. Greg Hunter is a favorite of mine on economic issues, not because he knows what he's talking about but because he asks the same questions I would ask.
You can go on down the line for just about any category. Take the recent breakdown of the dingo story by Mex. That's worth a buck a month to hear that from someone that follows the story. That's where I think it could go. Heck, you could be the guy to describe inner city blight and how best to fight it (or what to avoid). I'd pay 25 cents a month for that.
