I've not done any testing with this particular product, but I"m kinda leery of
any 'regular maintenance' OS X product, because OSX doesn't require 'regular
maintenance'.

My three main weapons of OSX repair-itude are Safe Boot, Disk Utility, Time
Machine and Disk Warrior.

Ahem, my FOUR main weapons are Safe Boot, Disk Utility, Time Machine, Disk
Warrior and Console.

My FIVE main….:-)

Also I only use those things if I have a problem.

Absent actual hardware failure, 90% of the time, simply rebooting in Safe mode
(which has become increasingly complex since 10.4) fixes it, because problems
are related to corrupted library and program caches that a safe boot clears.

Disk Utility is good for catching disk directory problems and SMART warnings,
and also home to the biggest placebo in OSX history 'Repair Permissions'. To
this day, since the advent of the utility in 10.2 (to fix a 10.1.5 problem!)
I've seen just two instances where Repair Permissions actually accomplished
anything.

Time Machine, because a good backup is 100% of the repair utilities you need,
because any disk problem that cannot be fixed with a nuke and pave can be fixed
with a replacement disk, nuke and pave.

DiskWarrior for those times when you stupidly don't have a backup and Disk
Utility won't fix it.

Console to tell me what's breaking.

Google to translate what Console is telling me. %-)

I'd reccomend Applejack as well, unless you have 10.8.
<http://applejack.sourceforge.net>, but you have to install it BEFORE you run
into trouble…

Some things in Applejack work (memtest, disk repair, etc) but clearing the
caches may not work, because they've been moved.
