For reference:
a) this works perfectly.
b) The files in the media folder are the originals, no matter what is done to 
it in the context of the document.
c) Several people sent in really messed up pictures of themselves to be printed 
on their badges. One guy was squashed so flat he looked more like a sontaran 
than human...
