The other day as I was riding home, I witnessed a car accident, some idiot turned left into oncoming traffic and got hit by one of them. He then tried to drive off. I think I was the first one who noticed he wasn't just pulling out of the intersection. I almost got close enough to get a license plat number, chasing him on my bike… A couple other much-better equipped bystanders took up the chase. I don't know how far the guy got, since his right front tire was grinding hard enough against bent fender to be smoking quite a bit. Last I saw they were trying to corner him an he was driving through a parking lot to get away.
