Office Depot just had an exhibition of office supplies on campus (they're our official 'office supplies supplier'), so I picked up some freebie pens, notebooks, and such.
One of these was a new 'Sharpie Pen'. One of these <http://www.sharpie.com/enUS/Pages/retractable-fine-point-pen.aspx> First thing I noticed was that it seems to have an absurdly long 'clicker' on top. <http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51aSm10hYDL._SL1500_.jpg> Looking carefully I found why. There's an entire retracting cap system inside the pen end, so that when the tip is retracted it's sealed in, like a regular sharpie with it's cap. This means that the whole retracting system has to move farther, pushing the cap out of the way, hence the absurdly long 'clicker' end. There's a crapload of engineering that went into this pen. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
