IMO one of most underestimated things in stripes - layout management tags. Again IMO - IT'S GREAT. I've started to use stripes in my plain old JSP project for layout management and locale picking issue :) And now in about a year migrated all sophisticated logic totally to stripes.
So main advantages as for me are 1. simple and powerfult layout management 2. full control of HTML that is produced. Event when you have legacy CSS or weird desingers in 99% stripes tags ain't break the page 3. IntelliJ IDEA plagin support :)) 4. Anntation driven validation 5. Possibility to intercetp into any action inside framework with minimal efforts. This is very very useful when traying to write beans correct, not fast :) 6. Behaviour configuration a-la Spring: don't extend classes, implement interfaces and modify config files to pick those interfaces up 7. NO XML (god bless creators) :)) Maybe it sounds kinda eulogistic, but it's really the best of action-based java web frameworks IMO :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
