Well all I can imagine is that IE simply does not like the idea of
having a radio button inside an anchor tag. It probably doesn't have
anything to do with Stripes.

The reason I think it's weird is that when it does work, your anchor
tag will cause the page to be reloaded.  It won't submit the form
containing your input element, so the value of the radio button won't
be maintained anyway, and neither will the value of any other form
fields.
