Hey no problem - I apologize for completely missing the details of
your original question!

I've grown intellectually lazy, and when I read about a problem that
does happen in IE and not in another browser, and I see that it's some
unfamiliar (to me) HTML or CSS construct, I jump immediately to the
conclusion that it's just another IE quirk. Sometimes I'm very wrong.

Also I admit that I was too lazy to start up my Windows VMware
instance to try it myself :-)
