Right now, I'm playing with Freddy's code from the Stripes Book and now I'm
needing some way to trace my bugs. Following the catalina.out won't cut
anymore.

So I decided to grab Stripes-Quickstart from the Freddy's blog as to check
its structure against the code's book and mine. There is a log4j.properties
alongside the stripesResources.properties file in the Stripes-Quickstart
tarball, but none in the book's code .

But how do I use it? All is needed is to configure this file and that's all?
What if I want to create a DEBUG mode for tracing tests and a deployment
mode for production? What about piping the log to another file? Is there any
way to call it directly within the stripes framework?

Tried to find some info about this on the www.stripesframework.org, but
