Hi Lev,
if you already have striperassist in your setup , then all you need is to add
this to your web.xml
<init-param>
<param-name>Extension.Packages</param-name>
<param-value>
org.stripesstuff.stripersist
</param-value>
</init-param>
Chapter 12 of Freddy Daoud's book talks about it
The source code is available from here
http://media.pragprog.com/titles/fdstr/code/fdstr-code.zip
Once you unzip it, check the folder with name email_23
Its a netbeans project, so you can open it in netbeans and see the code.
Hope this helps
Regards

hi farouk,
i'm familiar with maven and have stripes-1.5.2, stripersist-1.0,as well the
basic jars (jstl, standard, hibernate, etc).
however, i have had trouble invoking Stripersist. something
is wrong with my configuration
would you happen to have a simple project that i could look at to examine the
configuration?
thank you,lev

Although these should be easy to setup, I dont think you can get stripeassist
from any public maven repository.
To setup stripes with maven in netbeans, just create a standard maven
project(QuickStart...sth) and then add the stripes dependencies (stripes, jstl
and standard.jars) as you would in a normal maven application.
I found stripes 1.5.2 (not the 1.5.3 version) in a public maven repository.
Code completion in the pom.xml should allow you to find it easily.
Its quite straightforward if you know maven. else you have to get your head
around maven first

i'm having no success configuring netbeans/maven/stripersist
to work together. does anybody have a small netbeans project
that they would be willing to share so that i can examine the
configuration?
thank you,
lev
