Whether and when something happens will always depend on whether someone *makes* it 
happen. 

As individuals, each of us can say that we plan to work on this or that in some 
timeframe, but I don't think 
anyone can foresee what feature will appear in what release until there is code on the 
table.

We can slot the platform requirements for a given code tree (1.2.x vs 2.0.x), but what 
ends up being implemented 
will really depends on who has time to do what. 

The roadmap is a useful tool, but let's not start thinking of it like some type of 
requirements document. We all 
have enough of that at our real jobs. Here, we should be doing what we ~want~ to do, 
not simply what got put up 
on the "whiteboard".
