Whether and when something happens will always depend on whether someone *makes* it happen. As individuals, each of us can say that we plan to work on this or that in some timeframe, but I don't think anyone can foresee what feature will appear in what release until there is code on the table. We can slot the platform requirements for a given code tree (1.2.x vs 2.0.x), but what ends up being implemented will really depends on who has time to do what. The roadmap is a useful tool, but let's not start thinking of it like some type of requirements document. We all have enough of that at our real jobs.
