As I have told a couple of people, I'm going to be on vacation for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow (Monday June 25) evening. It is very unlikely that I will have email contact during most of that time. I will be available again on July 11. Therefore, I'm great with adding some additional committers and starting work on the TODO list in the 1.1 tree. I've also asked Ted Husted to create a "contrib" directory at the top-level (in the 1.1 branch) and manage the posting of other contributions that have not yet been integrated into the Struts main codebase. (If there is a high volume of this, we might want to create a "jakarta-struts-sandbox" repository for such things, analogous to what several other Jakarta projects have done. A couple of notes about the 1.0 tree (i.e. STRUTS_1_0_BRANCH): I anticipate that we will probably need to do a 1.0.1 release at some point, to clean up any issues that are discovered. However, we should be cautious about what gets checked in here, focused on bug fixes only (as Rob did on the <html:errors> tag fix). It's probably time to start a RELEASE-NOTES-1.0.1 document there as well. By the way, I want to thank all of you for your interest in the future development of Struts. The high quality of the 1.0 release owes a lot to the number of people who have contributed ideas, testing, patches, code, and (most importantly) energy and enthusiasm. I'm very excited about the future -- and now is a wonderful opportunity to expand the number of active developers on the project so that I don't become (or remain :-) a bottleneck to progress. Craig
