I've been thinking about the inclusion of the Struts driver/interface to the Validator with the Commons version. Some of my concerns are as follows. If Struts is included, what is the criteria for including another driver? I wouldn't want to be exclusive, but I wouldn't want to get into having to maintain drivers for frameworks I don't use or understand. One solution I can think of would be if a Commons commiter would volunteer to maintain that driver/interface and I could help them. The only other issue is that if the driver is in Commons then the example web apps and cactus unit tests would be there too. It doesn't seem like this should be there. Maybe that is just because there aren't any other Commons projects doing this yet, but there will be in the future.
